Northern Rail

Quill Power Communications provided communications guidance and support to Northern Rail from 2005 to 2011. This initially began with a part-time role within the communications department, during the transitional period from two companies (Arriva Trains Northern/First North Western) into one, during which time, QPC provided protocols for internal and external communication (including media liaison) and an interim crisis communications strategy.

Additional projects supported included stakeholder communications during the West Coast Route Modernisation programme and the promotion of the 'Northern Trax' rail safety programme.
Quill Power currently provides 'on-call' support to the Northern Rail press office, during out-of-hours operations, dealing re-actively with media enquiries and pro-actively informing the media of transport issues in the light of incidents with a serious operational impact.
